Our kids do an awesome job of teaching us biblical truths. In this series, we will be specifically talking about Faith, Hope, and Love.
Scripture: Romans 8:24-28 (Read Scripture)
Our kids do an awesome job of teaching us biblical truths. Hope is something we can learn from them.
Hope - “… the expectation that ALL God’s promises to us and for us will SOON be realized. Hope is trusting - and waiting - on God” (Beacon Dictionary of Theology)
Hope is more than the anticipation of “getting” something or the fulfillment of a request. Hope is must be ACTIVE!
Jesus Christ is our living hope! (1 Peter 1:3)
Romans 8, “24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”
We must TRUST in God’s plan and timing!
We must WAIT on the Lord!
When trusting and waiting and being hopeful is hard… “the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” - Romans 8:26-27
In our time of weakness and even hopelessness, God is still working! God is still active! The promise of Romans 8:28 says, “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Scripture: Matthew 18:1-4; Genesis 22; John 6:1-15
